The Enterprise Data Center segment consists of the private data centers owned and operated by individual businesses, from large financial institutions to universities and manufacturing companies. These customers typically buy in smaller volumes than the hyperscalers. While cost is important, they often place a higher value on vendor support, ease of use, and integration with a broader portfolio of security and management tools. They are the traditional customer base for incumbent vendors like Cisco and are more likely to purchase integrated, branded solutions rather than building their own from disaggregated components.
